Role Overview
We are seeking a Bid Assistant to join our busy Bid Team, to support the production of our work winning submissions. We are a forward thinking and imaginative company and our submissions are the starting point for communicating this. Based in London you will play a key role in business growth by supporting bid production and delivering exciting and engaging documents.
You will be responsible for the production of tender information from receipt through to submission for a variety of high profile clients across the built environment. This includes contributing as well as producing information for others, ensuring timely completion and submission, and full compliance with the tender requirements and our company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, maintain and use templates in MS Powerpoint and InDesign to produce high-quality documents
Edit and review bid documentation before submission
Create, maintain and improve bid collateral (CV’s, Case studies, capability statements, RFP’s)
Support opportunity tracking
Support and administer OJEU notice opportunities using various web portals
Market research into current and future trends within the construction industry
Person Specification:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Very high standard of written English
Excellent attention to detail
Proven ability to work well under pressure and deliver high quality work on demanding and multiple deadlines
Self-disciplined and confident
Ability to work independently or as part of a group and use own initiative
Ability to comfortably engage with multiple stakeholders, including colleagues and external suppliers, at all levels
Essential:
Demonstrable knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign
Demonstrable knowledge of MS Office 365, in particular PowerPoint
Desirable:
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
An understanding of the construction industry and building services
Marketing Support:
In addition to the primary role of Bid Assistant a previous experience of business marketing skills would be advantageous to support our business and its growth.

- Typically, an ‘engineer’ will be capable of delivering ‘small to medium’ size projects, from the concept and detailed design stage through to implementation, testing and handover, with minimal assistance from a Senior or Associate engineer
- The Job holder will be expected to work in a multi-disciplinary project team, including engineers from other specialisms and will be expected to utilise your technical knowledge and the ability to project manage and multitask

Role Requirements:
- – To assist Senior Engineers and Associates and work in a multi-disciplinary project team, including engineers from other disciplines
- – To be self-motivated and work under your own initiative heading your own projects throughout the design process through to completion and handover, along with assisting on larger schemes
- – To be able to utilise your technical knowledge and to multitask. You will be expected to develop your leadership skills and commercial awareness as your career progresses
As a minimum, applicants should have:
- – Degree Qualified, with at least 2-3 years of experience and/or 3-4 years of experience working full time as a Building Services Consultant
- – Achieved goals and objectives through positive workforce motivation
- – Strong problem solving, decision making, organisational, communication, interpersonal, and customer focus skills
