Client: Foxhills Country Club
We were appointed by Foxhills to design the services for a new luxury health spa, swimming pool and Clubhouse to the existing leisure facilities.
Facilities included 70 luxury rooms and suites, a state of the art 25m pool and associated changing areas, thermal room, spa and individual treatment rooms.
When swimming pool ventilation and heating systems are integrated with cooler environments such as gymnasiums and wet/humid environments such as steam rooms and saunas it is imperative that the design is correct.
These ventilation systems are complex and must be carefully designed from concept stage through to completion. All require specialist mechanical systems and considerate design by the M&E consultant. Particular care was required when considering the internal environment, water temperatures, mechanical ventilation requirements and close control of the humidification levels.
All of these environmental factors were carefully considered to achieve a comfortable environment for the occupants and the building.
At Foxhill’s we led the detailed design of the specialist systems and integrated them with a high end architectural solution.
The facility also includes an exclusive bar and dining area for the leisure facility members. All areas are fully air conditioned.
The AA awarded Foxhills 4 stars. Shortly after, The Times called Foxhills "One of the best luxury family hotels’
