College of Haringey, Enfield & North East London

Architect: KSS

We have been employed by the merged college of Haringey, Enfleld and NE London (Tottenham) for several years to advise and design the services for the ongoing redevelopment of the Enfield and Tottenham sites.

The sites are 33000m2 and 19000m2 respectively and present unique challenges.  The Tottenham site is in a conservation area and is situated in a tight urban environment, whilst Enfield is more of a suburban campus site.  Both sites have the same vision and branding but require different mechanical solutions.

There is a demolition and alteration to the existing entrance at Tottenham College plus a refurbishment of the existing gymnasium which includes a new mezzanine level.

At the Enfield centre there are more extensive works including a new link building between two existing blocks, a refurbishment of the 1550m2 Park Building, a new build extension of the refectory and alterations to external facades.

Classroom solutions include multi-service ceiling mounted acoustic panels with integrated lighting to maximise the classroom area.
