Bank of New York, London

Client: Bank of New York

We were appointed as the lead engineers for the upgrade and reconfiguration of 3 data halls for the Bank of New York. The project involved the replacement of both cooling and power supplies associated with the halls whilst maintaining their operation.

UPS and cooling systems were selected on an N+1 basis and changed over on a phased basis, insuring power downs were kept to a minimum.

The installation of the new services resulted in the bank having dual supplies on the electrical and UPS infrastructure which allows for future maintenance of the switch gear without the need to isolate the IT equipment or close down the data hall.

As part of the project we managed and supervised the reconfiguration of the physical space of the data halls and designed new lighting systems, controls, gas suppression systems, fire detection systems  and BMS monitoring systems throughout.
