Bank of Montreal, London
Client: Bank of Montreal, London
We were appointed as lead engineers for the refurbishment of the banks main dealing floors and data halls. The project involved the replacement of both cooling and power supplies associated with the halls whilst maintaining the operation of the dealing rooms and existing data halls.
UPS and cooling systems were selected on an N+1 basis and configured to provide maximum security of service. On installation of the new services, a phased swap over between data halls took place to enable the shutdown of the original hall.
We took the lead role in planning the swap over and the integration of the new systems. The works also included the provision of new structured cabling throughout the dealing floors and the presentation of these cables within the new data hall.
In addition our brief involved the design of new lighting systems, controls, gas suppression systems, fire detection systems and BMS monitoring systems throughout.
